A team-building recognition experience
For two years, a pharmaceutical company had been awarding cash to winning districts. They wanted to revamp their program by introducing incentive travel awards, allowing the teams to choose their destinations and travel dates.
The company sought a hands-off, turnkey solution and preferred a provider that offered flexibility, a variety of destination choices, white-glove service, and adherence to a predetermined budget.
Small-team incentive travel
We proposed a new solution featuring a small team travel approach that included:
- Flexibility: teams can tailor their travel experience by selecting when and where
- Cost-effective: no on-site staff or group activities were required
- Guaranteed pricing: packages not to exceed quoted pricing
- Personalized service: dedicated travel consultants to assist each team
- Team building: the client mandated a four-hour team meeting or a give-back opportunity to foster collaboration and bonding
- Communication website: we developed a communication platform to include all travel options, program details, and FAQs. Business directors could share the site with their team to select their preferred destination and date. Each team was assigned a dedicated travel consultant.
Incentive travel drove results
Groups worked together as a team to achieve revenue growth in each of their therapeutic areas. This lead to great results. The top 20% of districts qualified for the award. They contributed to an overall increase of 20% in revenue growth. Because of these great results, small team travel is now the company standard to recognize the top performing team.

Regardless of the advertising budget, it can all be rendered ineffective if a competitor excels in that final interaction. Conversely, outperforming competitors in those crucial moments can offset their advertising spend.
